According to the World Wide Fund for Nature, the territory of the Czech Republic can be subdivided into four terrestrial ecoregions:
- Central European mixed forests[1]
- Pannonian mixed forests[2]
- Western European broadleaf forests[3]
- Carpathian montane conifer forests[4]
