Matthew David Johnson, commonly known as Matty J, is an Australian television personality.
Career[edit]
In 2016, Johnson first appeared on season 2 of The Bachelorette Australia where he ended as the runner-up. In 2017, Johnson then appeared on season 5 of The Bachelor Australia where he chose Laura Byrne as the winner and Elise Stacy as the runner-up.[1]
In 2019, Johnson co-hosted Luxury Escapes, alongside Sophie Falkiner.[2]
In 2021, Johnson competed in the eighteenth season of the Australian version of Dancing with the Stars, where he was partnered with Ruby Gherbaz. He was eliminated from the contest.[citation needed]
Personal life[edit]
Johnson married Laura Byrne in Mollymook, New South Wales on 11 November 2022.[3] They have two daughters named Marlie-Mae (born 20 June 2019) and Lola (born 4 February 2021).[4][5]
