Mbeya Airport (IATA: MBI, ICAO: HTMB) is an airport located in Mbeya Region, Tanzania. The airport is small and serves the city of Mbeya. It is within the southern section of the city.
The Mbeya non-directional beacon (Ident: MB) is located on the field.[4][5]
A new, larger airport at Songwe, 20 kilometres (12 mi) west of the city, was opened in December 2012 and also serves Mbeya and Songwe Region.
