The Ministry of Tourism and Environment is a Maldivian ministry responsible for tourism and the environment of the Maldives.
History
[edit]The ministry was established after the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Climate Change, Environment and Energy was merged to form the Ministry of Tourism and Environment.[1]
The merger came with major backlash from the public as many viewed this as the government not caring about tourism.[2]
