Mister Grand International (ˈmi-stər grænd in-tər-ˈna-sh(ə-)nəl ) also known as Mister Grand is an international male beauty pageant that was established in 2017 by Mark Gil Balisacan.[1] The organization's first edition was held at Crossroad Center in Quezon City, Philippines on 7 October 2017. It is the largest international male beauty pageant founded in 2017 and is the counterpart to the unaffiliated female beauty pageant, Miss Grand International.[2][3][4][5][6]
The inaugural competition, which has attracted over 30 participating countries and territories since its inception in 2017, aims to develop young men into exemplary leaders through empowerment. The MGI Organization celebrates the positive qualities of men through: "Enhancing Sensible Masculinity, Outstanding Sportsmanship and Limitless Potential," reflects the values of the pageant.[7]
The current titleholder of Mister Grand International 2023 is Seif Al Walid Harb from Lebanon. He was crowned by the former titleholder, Mister Grand International 2022 Michael Pelletier of Switzerland, on 14 January 2024, at Casa De La Cultura Hinojos in Huelva & Seville, Spain.[8]
The male beauty pageant was founded in 2017 by Mark Gil Balisacan.[1] The organization's first edition was held at Crossroad Center in Quezon City, Philippines, on October 7, 2017.[2][3] It is the largest international male beauty pageant founded in 2017.[4][5][6]
Mister Grand International Organization seeks to promote friendship, goodwill, and cultural exchange among young men from around the world. Contestants participate in various activities and events, showcasing their talents, intelligence, and physical fitness. The competition aims to provide a platform for contestants to demonstrate their leadership skills and advocate for important social causes. The pageant includes traditional segments such as national costume, swimwear, and formal wear, as well as opportunities for the contestants to engage in community service and charitable endeavors. Winners of Mister Grand International often serve as ambassadors for their respective countries and are expected to champion humanitarian efforts and global awareness.[9]
The organizers of the international male competition have taken the opportunity to assert and clarify that their pageant stands as a separate entity from the female version, Miss Grand International, which is owned by a Thailand-based organization.[10][11] After much consideration and thorough evaluation, the organizers of the competition in 2018 and 2019 had their pageant staged back to back in the enchanting rich and beautiful Land of Golden Pagodas, - the exquisite country of Myanmar. Due to the pandemic, just like all international competitions, Mister Grand International skipped the year 2020. A year after, in 2021, the organization announced their decision to bring the pageant organization to Panama. While in 2022, the host country is the Caribbean nation of Trinidad and Tobago.[11][12][13][14][15][5][16][2]
In November 2024, Mary Jean Lastimosa was appointed as the international director of the Mister Grand International pageant.[17][18]

On 15 January 2024, during the grand final event that took place in Spain, an awkward situation unfolded.[51] The host country's representative's family members rushed onto the stage, creating a scandalous scene and causing chaos in the final night of the competition. They were not pleased by the result, as their friend, the contestant, was not included in the top positions.[15]
