At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,826 in 499 households, when it was in Hafdar Rural District of the former Sorkheh District of Semnan County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,823 people in 524 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,796 people in 585 households, by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Sorkheh County.[4] It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
After the census, Hafdar Rural District was separated from the Central District in the establishment of Hafdar District, which was divided into two rural districts.[4]
