Mowmenabad (Persian: مؤمن‌آباد)^[a] is a village in Momenabad Rural District of Hafdar District, Sorkheh County, Semnan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the district and the rural district.^[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,826 in 499 households, when it was in Hafdar Rural District of the former Sorkheh District of Semnan County.^[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,823 people in 524 households.^[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,796 people in 585 households, by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Sorkheh County.^[4] It was the most populous village in its rural district.^[2]

After the census, Hafdar Rural District was separated from the Central District in the establishment of Hafdar District, which was divided into two rural districts.^[4]
