National Trust of Australia (Northern Territory)

National Trust of the Northern Territory is a membership-based community organisation to "promote the natural, Indigenous and cultural heritage" of the Northern Territory. It was founded in 1976 by Adele Purvis, of Woodgreen Station.[1][2]

It is a member of the National Trust of Australia, which federates the eight autonomous National Trusts in each Australian state and territory.[3]

Heritage register

The Heritage Register of the National Trust of the Northern Territory contains buildings, precincts, natural environment places or culturally significant artefacts of the Northern Territory. Items on the Heritage Register are not protected by law.[4]
