Okinsky District (Russian: Оки́нский райо́н; Buryat: Ахын аймаг, Akhyn aimag) is an administrative^[1] and municipal^[4] district (raion), one of the twenty-one in the Republic of Buryatia, Russia. It is located in the west of the republic. The area of the district is 26,012 square kilometers (10,043 sq mi).^[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Orlik.^[1] As of the 2010 Census, the total population of the district was 5,353, with the population of Orlik accounting for 47.7% of that number.^[3]
