The sub-district code of Rangia Block (CD) is 02116.[3] Total area of Rangiya subdivision is 186 km2 including 173.12 km2 rural area and 12.46 km2 urban area.[4] Rangiya subdivision has a population of 1,55,333 peoples, out of which urban population is 32,533 while rural population is 1,22,800.[5] Rangiya subdivision has a population density of 837 inhabitants per square kilometre. There are about 34,016 houses in the sub-district, including 7,205 urban houses and 26,811 rural houses.
