Rural District in Fars, Iran
Rostaq Rural District (Persian : دهستان رستاق )[ 3] is in Rostaq District of Darab County , Fars province, Iran .[ 4] Its capital is the village of Lay Zangan .[ 5] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Rostaq ,[ 6] now a city.[ 7]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 9,171 in 2,206 households.[ 8] There were 9,355 inhabitants in 2,421 households at the following census of 2011.[ 9] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 8,830 in 2,535 households. The most populous of its 74 villages was Rostaq (now a city),[ 7] with 3,598 people.[ 2]
