Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Engineering and Technology (also called SDMCET) is an autonomous private engineering college located in Dharwad in the state of Karnataka, India. It was established in 1979 and under Visveswaraiah Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, Karnataka. The institution is approved by All India Coucnil for Technical Education (AICTE).[2] The college is located at Dhavalagiri in Dharwad city.

The institute contains 17 academic departments and awards undergraduate, graduate and post graduate degrees. Established in 1979, It is one of the first self-financed colleges in India.[3]

Insignia is an annual National level techno-cultural fest, thousands of students across India participate in 60 plus events held in the duration of 3 days annually.[7]

SDMCET campus is spread over 72 acres (290,000 m2) with its impressive architecture, lush verdant woods and landscaped gardens, provides an idyllic environment to engage in technology, academics and learning. SDMCET has a world-class infrastructure that facilitates excellence in teaching, research, and other professional activities.

Ganesh temple

The campus is surrounded by orchards and trees, Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Engineering & Technology is considered one of the greenest campuses in the state of Karnataka. It also has a Ganesh temple (Worship place) within the campus.

Central Library

Library is centrally located in the campus housed in independent building having a plinth area of over 2500 Sq mtrs, having total seating capacity of 550 students at a time. Library is automated by using EASYLIB-Library management software. It is a multi-user package for effective management of a library from all aspects. Online catalogue of the library and the e-resources can be accessed on the campus network. The library subscribes to nearly 121 Technical Periodicals and More than 8600 International e-journals from IEL, Springer Link, Taylor and Francis, Science Direct and ProQuest. In addition there are more than 2000 Bound volumes of journals, 2500 CD's & DVD'S, & IS Standards.

Indoor Sports complex

The college has sports facilities that includes outdoor and indoor sports, a new indoor sports complex was inaugurated in 2023 for badminton, tennis, table tennis, carrom, chess and many other indoor games.
