Founded in 1995, the World Trade Center of São Paulo is a business complex that is part of the World Trade Centers Association, a global organization promoting international trade, with over 290 member cities across 85 countries.[1]
It boasts approximately 180,000 square meters of built-up area, considered the largest business complex in Latin America. Its construction was a landmark for the city. Situated in the upscale area of the South Zone, between Berrini Avenue and the United Nations Avenue, its location brings it close to multinational corporations, large Brazilian companies, and even Congonhas Airport.
It comprises the WTC Tower, a modern 25-story office building, the refined and sophisticated Sheraton Hotel, the WTC Convention Center, the Business Club, and the most comprehensive decoration and design center in Latin America, the D&D, all integrated and complementary spaces.
Architects Carlos Bratke, Roberto Bratke, and Francisco Collet were responsible for initiating the famous and bustling Engenheiro Luís Carlos Berrini Avenue in 1975. The idea was to escape the high prices of Avenida Paulista and, thus, they established themselves on Rua Funchal and invested in projects for the structuring of the avenue.
The WTC is located in Brooklin Novo, between Luís Carlos Berrini and Nações Unidas avenues.
