District in Kurdistan, Iran
Saral District (Persian : بخش سارال ) is in Divandarreh County , Kurdistan province, Iran . Its capital is the city of Hezar Kanian .[ 3]
After the 2011 National Census, Hoseynabad-e Shomali Rural District was separated from the district to join Sanandaj County .[ 4] After the 2016 census, the village of Hezar Kanian was elevated to the status of a city.[ 5]
At the time of the 2006 census, the district's population was 16,468 in 3,335 households.[ 6] The following census in 2011 counted 15,277 people in 3,859 households.[ 7] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 9,884 inhabitants in 2,519 households.[ 2]
