Sasanian Palestine refers to the brief rule of Palestine by the Sasanian Empire, following the Sasanian conquest of Palestine in 614. It lasted from 614 to 628, until the Sasanian general Shahrbaraz made an alliance with the Roman Byzantine emperor Heraclius to have control over Egypt and Palestine returned to him.[1][2]
