Shamsabad (Persian: شمس اباد)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Qaleh Ganj Rural District of the Central District of Qaleh Ganj County, Kerman province, Iran.[4] The rural district was previously administered from the city of Qaleh Ganj.[5]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 1,048 in 226 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 1,100 people in 286 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 1,151 people in 321 households.[2]
