Tanjiashan Town (simplified Chinese: 谭家山镇; traditional Chinese: 譚家山鎮; pinyin: Tánjiāshān Zhèn) is an urban town in Xiangtan County, Hunan Province, People's Republic of China.[1] It's surrounded by Shebu Town on the west, Guyuefeng Town and Leidashi Town on the east, and Zhonglupu Town on the south. As of the 2000 census[update] it had a population of 51,540 and an area of 100.45 square kilometres (38.78 sq mi).
The town is divided into 28 villages and five communities.
The region abounds with coal and limestone.
Rice and pig are important to the economy.
Huaguxi is the most influence local theater.
The major highways are the 107 National Road (107国道) and the 313 Provincial Road (313省道).
