Tokhi (Pashto; توخئ') is a Ghilji tribe found in Afghanistan. Tokhi (توخئ) is one of the biggest branch of Ghilji.
The grandfather of the Ghilji is Madhnai Nika (مړنئ نيکه) who had three sons: Thoraan (توران), Tholar (تولر) and Bolar (بولر). These names are derived from biggest Aryai (آريائي) the Thoran (توران) was biggest son which has priority the Thoraan has two Branches the First one is Hotak (هوتک) And the second one is Tokhi (توخئ) these are biggest Branches of Ghilji's Tribe and Ghilji Has strong resistance against many enemies and Ghilji has ruled Persian Asfahan Empire they also have ruled India.[1][2]
The Tokhi Chiefs hikmat in the Ghilzai revolt of 1801 to 1802 but were put down and executed. The Tokhi were among the first in the disturbance of British Colonial Occupation during the First Afghan War and were among many troops led to attack the British.[3]
