Fair play points were used as a tiebreaker between Denmark and Slovenia, as they were tied on their head-to-head and overall results and a penalty shoot-out was not applicable as a tiebreaker. These were calculated based on yellow and red cards received by players and team officials in all group matches as follows:[5]
Only one of the above deductions was applied to a player or team official in a single match.

Denmark are through to the round of 16 as group runners-up (finishing ahead of Slovenia on disciplinary points).
Booking for Slovenia staff member – 70' Denmark 1–0 Slovenia: Referee Sandro Scharer, the Swiss, books a member of the Slovenia staff in the dugout, presumably for being too mouthy on the sidelines.
