John Stuart (18 de julio de 1898-17 de octubre de 1979) fue un actor cinematográfico británico, un muy popular primer intérprete masculino del cine mudo británico.
Su verdadero nombre era John Alfred Louden Croall, y nació en Edimburgo, Escocia.[1]
Tuvo la oportunidad de trabajar en dos películas de Alfred Hitchcock.[1]
Su primer film sonoro fue la exitosa Kitty (1929). Su último papel llegó con Superman: la película (1978), interpretando a un viejo Kryptoniano.[2]
John Stuart falleció en Londres, Inglaterra, en 1979, a causa de un ataque cardiaco ocurrido mientras dormía. Fue enterrado en el Cementerio Brompton de Londres.[3]
