    double』(ダブル)は、日本女性歌手DOUBLEの1枚目のオリジナル・アルバム(1st Album)。

    概要

    • 前作『Crystal』から約1年半ぶりとなるオリジナル・アルバム。楽曲制作やプロデュースなどは海外のプロデューサーに依頼、レコーディングもニューヨークで行った。2001年4月25日に『double ENG ver.』がリリースされているが、元々は『double ENG ver.』に収録されている英語版が原曲であり、TAKAKOにより日本語詞が加えらたり、メロディーを編曲したものが本作に収録されている。そのため楽曲によっては曲名や歌詞の内容が全く異なる。例えば「Angel」の歌詞は無償の愛をテーマとしているが、英語版の「Tell Me」の歌詞では不倫をテーマにした楽曲となっている。
    • 12曲目の「Angel (Album Version)」の後、シークレット・トラックとしてF.O.Hが参加していない「Handle (DOUBLE Version)」が収録されている。12曲目に実質2曲が収録されているため、10分38秒の長さとなっている。
    • ソロ・プロジェクトではあるが、姉のSACHIKOが健在だった頃のユニット名を残し、姉の遺志を受け継ぐということを前面に出している。ブックレットの最後には「Sachiko, Thank you for helping me write the lyrics in my dream. No matter where you are, you are always in my heart. I love you forever」といったSACHIKOへのメッセージも記載されている。
