Dipendra Prasad (22 de março de 1960) é um matemático indiano.
Prasad estudou no St. Xavier College em Bombaim com o bacharelado em 1978, no Indian Institute of Technology em Kanpur com um mestrado em 1980 e obteve um doutorado em 1989 na Universidade Harvard, orientado por Benedict Gross, com a tese Trilinear Forms for GL2 of a Local Field and -Factors.[1] Foi professor no Harish-Chandra Research Institute em Allahabad (a partir de 1994 professor associado e a partir de 1997 professor) e é professor no Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, onde já foi de 1990 a 1993 fellow e de 1993 a 1997 reader.
Recebeu o Shanti-Swarup-Bhatnagar-Preis de 2002. Foi palestrante convidado do Congresso Internacional de Matemáticos no Rio de Janeiro (2018: Ext-analogues of Branching laws).[2]
É irmão dos professores de matemática Gopal Prasad e Shrawan Kumar.
