New Horizons in Physics Prize

O New Horizons in Physics Prize é um prêmio anual em física concedido desde 2012 pela Fundamental Physics Prize Foundation a jovens pesquisadores. É dotado com 100.000 dólares. Além disso a fundação concede o Fundamental Physics Prize e o Physics Frontiers Prize.

Nos bastidores da fundação está o oligarca russo Yuri Milner. Do conselho faz parte Steven Weinberg (2012), mas que não participa da seleção dos ganhadores.

  • Niklas Beisert: "For the development of powerful exact methods to describe a quantum gauge theory and its associated string theory".
  • Davide Gaiotto: "For far-reaching new insights about duality, gauge theory, and geometry, and especially for his work linking theories in different dimensions in most unexpected ways".
  • Zohar Komargodski: "For his work on the dynamics of four-dimensional field theories. In particular, his proof (with Schwimmer) of the “a-theorem” has solved a long-standing problem, leading to deep new insights".^[1]
