William Conall Shea (born November 8th, 1998), known professionally as ARTHUR, is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. He began his musical career on Bandcamp as Arthur Shea and co-founded the band Joy Again in 2014. A native of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, Shea cites the biodiversity and "eldritch" nature of his home town as inspirations for his music. Alongside his upbringing, Shea has repeatedly listed Nintendo, Ween, Gram Parsons, and The Beach Boys as inspirations.[1]
Until 2017, his discography was credited to his pseudonym Arthur Shea[2], under which Arthur's First (2015) was officially released alongside various smaller projects. After rebranding to "ARTHUR", Challenger EP (2017), Woof Woof (2018) and Hair of the Dog (2020) were released.
