Akriti Srikanth (born June 20, 1992) is an Indian-American entrepreneur, data scientist, AI product marketing consultant, and philanthropist. Currently, Srikanth serves as the Technical Director of Product Marketing for Machine Learning for a pre-IPO Unicorn DataRobot. She was the founding partner of AI Amalgamators, a venture capital, and private equity initiative launched with Microsoft for Startups.[1][2][3]
Throughout her career, Srikanth has driven value over $200M through customer and strategic partnerships. She has gained recognition for her product marketing and business development skills that have helped multiple organizations to flourish and scale from seed to Series D funding.[4]
Srikanth is a mentor for accelerators such as Acceleprise and Alchemist Accelerator and a member of the Computer Society of India. She is also an avid women's rights advocate who regularly writes for Forbes and VentureBeat. Srikanth has been listed in the Forbes 30 Under 30 List, Forbes Women in AI List, and VentureBeat Women in AI Awards Finalist for 2020.[5][6][7]
Srikanth was born on June 20, 1992 to Srikanth Vasantharajan and Radhika Srikanth. Later she enrolled in the RV College of Engineering, Bangalore, India, where he pursued a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering. Srikanth acquired her master’s degree in Computer Science from Ohio State University, Columbus. Srikanth also went to Kellogg School of Management, where she studied Operations Strategy.
In 2012, Srikanth joined The D.E. Shaw Group as a Data Scientist. After a year of her internship at D.E. Shaw and Co. Srikanth joined Deloitte as a Business Technology Consultant, where she worked for a year.[8][9]
Srikanth, in 2014, started working at IBM. She worked for over two years at this multi-national company as a Data Scientist and Technical Product Manager.[10]
In 2016, Srikanth joined RedHat as a Technical Product Manager and was eventually promoted to the post of an Head of AI Product Marketing for an AI division. During her tenure at this firm, Srikanth launched Red Hat Venture Incubator with the Head of AI/ML & Intelligent Edge of Red Hat.[11]
In 2018, Srikanth became a Co-Head of AI Technical Product Marketing, MLOps, and AI Startup Partnerships at NetApp. After a year, she joined H2O.ai as an AI Technical Product Marketing Consultant.[12]
In 2019, Srikanth became a Partner at a Venture Studio launched with Microsoft for Startups as AI Amalgamators. She has built a Microsoft for Startups AI Exec Council and an invite-only AI of 1000+ AI Execs & VCs with panels moderated by Forbes VC Senior Editor, Midas List, Cloud 100 & Forbes AI writers.[13]
During her career, Srikanth was a Principal at Mitsui Sumitomo Corporate Venture Capital Arm. She has sourced deals for Sorenson Ventures, Lightspeed, NEA, Data Collective, Norwest Venture Partners, Mayfield, Greylock, and others. She has also advised prolific organizations including Vendia, Credo.ai, Vectice, H2O.ai, and CyCognito to name a few.[14]
Srikanth co-founded Cognitive World, an AI Think Tank & Exec Community and AI contributing writer group after which she served as an advisor. Simultaneously, Srikanth also became a featured speaker at Pragmatic Institute and acquired a Level 5 product management certification. She also became a part-time Forbes Contributing writer and VentureBeat Contributing writer, where she served for three years.[15][16]
Apart from her career in the AI domain, Srikanth is also an advocate for women and has contributed numerous articles for the same at multiple media outlets. She is also an EB1 green card holder and a member of the Computer Society of India.[17]
Srikanth is fluent in English, Hindi, Konkani, Tamil, and Kannada.
