    Adi Ashkenazi was Born in 1997 and raised in Rishon Le Zion, to a Syrian-Jewish father and a Persian-Jewish mother.

    Ashkenazi served in an inteligence unit in the Israeli Air Force, during his time-off from his military service he worked as a freelancer for a company in the high-tech field, among his area of responsibilities he did Q/A, PR and Graphic Designing.

    Ashkenazi is the third child in a family of four children and comes from a culinary-loving family, like quite a few chefs, from an early age Ashkenazi used to enter the kitchen, and watch his mother install her dishes.

    Shortly before the end of his military service, Ashkenazi decided to leave the high-tech field and try his luck in local kitchens and immediately afterwards work in some of the best restaurants in the world to gain knowledge and experience that does not exist in local restaurants, by sending his CV to the best restaurants in the world[1](Hebrew), among them &Moshik (Amsterdam, The Netherlands), Alchemist[2][3][4] (Copenhagen, Denmark) and Belcanto[5][6] (Lisbon, Portugal) When all are awarded with 2 stars in by the Michelin guide, some of them are in both the The World's 50 Best Restaurants guide in the world and in the OAD guide. He then participated as a judge in the Game of Chefs(Hebrew: :he:משחקי השף) on an Asian mission, Ashkenazi was then recognized as a chef who is considered one of the most intriguing names in the Israeli culinary industry.[7][8][9](Hebrew)

    Career[edit]

    In 2017, Ashkenazi has joined the restaurant "Claro" in Israel, Tel Aviv as a line-cook at the cold section and then slowly was promoted to other sections within the kitchen, among them was the hot section.

    In 2019, at the beginning of May, he has decided to take a break from restaurant "Claro" and flew for the purpose of professional advancement and flew for an internship in Moshik Restaurant in Amsterdam, decorated with 2 Michelin stars and then returned to Claro.

    In 2020 - He left "Claro" and established a new restaurant in Israel, Tel Aviv(Pop & Pope) project with Hagag Group(a realestate group) and the chef Shahaf Shabtay. (Hebrew שחף שבתאי)

    In 2020 - During the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in Israel, Ashkenazi decided to move to Copenhagen, Denmark and join Alchemist restaurant, which was declared that year as the best restaurant in Europe according to the OAD (Opinionated About Dining) guide, awarded with 2-Michelin stars by the Michelin guide and the best restaurant in Denmark According to the local Whiteguide Guide.

    In 2021 - At the beginning of the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in Denmark and in light of the closure of restaurants in Denmark, Ashkenazi chose to return to Israel as the executive kitchen manager of the restaurant Pop & Pope, which he founded with chef Shahaf Shabtay in 2020.

    In 2021 - Towards the end of the year, Ashkenazi flew to Lisbon, Portugal, for an internship in Belcanto restaurant (Awarded with 2 Michelin stars) and ranked 42nd in the world according to the guide of The World's 50 Best Restaurants and until the beginning of the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in Portugal then he returned to Israel.
