Afikile Mkiva is a Cape Town born multi-talented artist who began her music career by forming part of her primary school choir at the age of 9. She continued to grow immensely in the music and performing arts space and became choirmaster of her high school choir whilst doing her Grade 11. She ventured further into the industry as a backing vocalist for various artists such as Xolisa Kwinana, Putuma Tiso, Luthando makapela, Mpumie Dapula, Pastor V Mboniswa and many more. She features as a solo artist on Luthando makapela's Uthando Luka Baba, Pastor V Mboniswa's Hymn Medley and Mpumie Dapula's No Other God
