Aidana is a small village of 810 hectares in Amet Tehsil in Rajsamand district, known for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Aidana depends on AMET, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 27.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Aidana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The workforce is 312 male, 231 female with 343 (63.17%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 274 males and 69 females. 44 males and 19 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 14 male and 13 female agricultural labor. 200 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of AMET and Rajsamand to sell marbale tiles and make their living.
