Aidana is a small village of 810 hectares in Amet Tehsil in Rajsamand district, known for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Aidana depends on AMET, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 27.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Aidana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Aidana's pin code is 313334[4], and village code is 02989600. The area of Aidana is segregated as 27 hectares irrigated area, 30 hectares unirrigated, the 577 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 176.43 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Aidana has One post office (Aidana B.O) and Sixteen public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Aidana has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Aidana is a census village in the district of Rajsamand, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1196 and has total administration over 233 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Aidana has 157 children, 85 boys and 72 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 41 (3.43%) males constitute 20 (1.67%) of the population and females 21 (1.76%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 207 (17.31%) males constitute 106 (8.86%) of the population and females 101 (8.44%).

Employment[edit]

The workforce is 312 male, 231 female with 343 (63.17%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 274 males and 69 females. 44 males and 19 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 14 male and 13 female agricultural labor. 200 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of AMET and Rajsamand to sell marbale tiles and make their living.
