Akiya is a small village of 256 hectares in Pachpahar Tehsil in Jhalawar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Akiya depends on Bhawani Mandi, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 50.59% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Akiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Akiya's pin code is 326512[4], and village code is 04089900. The area of Akiya is segregated as 77.97 hectares irrigated area, 35.6 hectares unirrigated, the 128.52 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 14.31 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Akiya is a census village in the district of Jhalawar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 783 and has total administration over 161 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Akiya has 127 children, 62 boys and 65 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 98 (12.52%) males constitute 56 (7.15%) of the population and females 42 (5.36%).

The workforce is 240 male, 247 female with 177 (36.34%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 168 males and 9 females. 51 males and 2 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 108 male and 5 female agricultural labor. 310 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bhawani Mandi and Jhalawar to sell ghee and make their living.
