Altima Dental is a Canada based chain of dental clinics focused on providing advanced professional dental settings and dentistry services. During the company's 30 years history, Altima Dental is known for its best clinical practices and has grown from one location in Toronto to well over 100 locations all over Canada. It is currently headquartered in Toronto, Ontario and was founded in 1993 by renowned dentists, Dr. Sven Grail and Dr. George Christodoulou.
Right after its founding, Altima Dental has created a name in the field of advanced dental care to patients through continuous technological advancements and dental consulting to patients through its superior patient care. It provides dental care including Orthodontics, General Dentistry, Family Dentistry, Cosmetic dentistry, Restorative Dentistry, Dental Implants, Orthodontics, and Emergency dentistry.
Throughout the chain's history, Altima Dental gained national attention for its orthodontics, oral and periodontal surgery. In 2021, it was named in the 2021 List of Best Workplaces™ in Healthcare by Great Place to Work.[2]

Altima Dental originated from a dental office in Toronto that was opened in 1993 by when first-generation dentists Dr. Sven Grail and Dr. George Christodoulou.[3] Since then, it has been privately owned and operated as a dentistry company, which has diversified its business by providing Altima Affiliate clinics to operate under multiple brand names in six different provinces in Canada.
Altima Dental gained popularity through word of mouth and quickly began to experience growth, and by the end of 2020, it is now the largest privately owned chain of dental clinics known for its customer-centric dental care. It has opened dental clinics in Toronto, North York, Cambridge, Scarborough, Mississauga, Hamilton, Kingston, Markham, Morrisburg, Port Hope, Thornhill, and Russell.
In January 2017, United States-based private equity firm Sentinel Capital Partners entered into a partnership with Altima Dental Centres. At this time, Altima Dental has over 30 locations in Canada.[4]
In March 2020, Altima Dental announced that it has increased the total clinics by 60% and has generated well over $160 million partnership value in 2019. It operates under 33 banners and has various sites in six provinces.[5]
During Covid, Altima Dental realized the potential of developing virtual dental tools when the majority of patients were not willing to visit clinics. In February 2021, the company launched virtual dental tools using AI-based tools for virtual check-ups and dental monitoring by analyzing photos shared by patients.[6][7][8]
