Amargarh is a small village of 705 hectares in Gangapur Tehsil in Sawai Madhopur district, also known for Ranthambore National Park in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Amargarh depends on GANGAPUR CITY, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Amargarh is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Amargarh's pin code is 322201[4], and village code is 01269800. The area of Amargarh is segregated as 381.89 hectares irrigated area, 110.88 hectares unirrigated, the 168.15 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 43.79 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Amargarh is a census village in the district of Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 552 and has total administration over 100 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of GANGAPUR CITY and Sawai Madhopur to sell earthen pot and make their living.
