Ambasa is a small village of 2753 hectares in Jhadol Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ambasa depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Ambasa is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ambasa's pin code is 313701[4], and village code is 03137800. The area of Ambasa is segregated as 118 hectares irrigated area, 349 hectares unirrigated, the 233 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 204 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Ambasa is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3511 and has total administration over 659 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 20 (0.57%) males constitute 11 (0.31%) of the population and females 9 (0.26%).

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 1830 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 902 male, 928 female with 1190 (65.03%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 680 males and 510 females. 563 males and 310 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 44 male and 147 female agricultural labor. 640 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
