Ambuja is a small village of 160 hectares in Girwa Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ambuja depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ambuja is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ambuja's pin code is 313003[4], and village code is 03152100. The area of Ambuja is segregated as 20 hectares irrigated area, 40 hectares unirrigated, the 10 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 40 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Ambuja has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Ambuja is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1358 and has total administration over 294 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Ambuja has 271 children, 147 boys and 124 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 14 (1.03%) males constitute 6 (0.44%) of the population and females 8 (0.59%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1284 (94.55%) males constitute 675 (49.71%) of the population and females 609 (44.85%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
