Anjana is a small village of 1173 hectares in Garhi Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Anjana depends on Partapur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Anjana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Anjana's pin code is 327032[4], and village code is 03419100. The area of Anjana is segregated as 365 hectares irrigated area, 322 hectares unirrigated, the 266 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 220 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Anjana has One post office (Ajna B.O) and Seventy Five public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Anjana has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Anjana is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 6820 and has total administration over 1387 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Anjana has 1009 children, 547 boys and 462 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 875 (12.83%) males constitute 435 (6.38%) of the population and females 440 (6.45%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 2873 (42.13%) males constitute 1455 (21.33%) of the population and females 1418 (20.79%).

According to a census 2011 report, 3000 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1849 male, 1151 female with 2190 (73.0%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1558 males and 632 females. 525 males and 154 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 311 male and 222 female agricultural labor. 810 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Partapur and Banswara to sell earthen pot and make their living.
