History[edit]

Founded in 1981, Ann Sacks is an American tile and stone designer and manufacturer headquartered in Portland, Oregon..[1] The company is a subsidiary of parent company Kohler Co., and is sister companies with KALLISTA faucets and fixtures and Robern lighting, cabinets and vanities. Ann Sacks was acquired by Kohler Interiors in 1989 as part of its furniture, title, and decorative products division. The company has showrooms across the United States, London, and Vancouver, with the largest flagship location based in New York City.[2] With featured collections such as Idris and MADE, Ann Sacks manufactures over 2 million tiles a year.[3][1].

Business and Service[edit]

Ann Sacks produces collections, such as the Architectural Design Great Design award-winning MADE collection [4] in collaboration with designers such as Andy Fleishman Brass and Kelly Wearstler.[5] [6]. Ann Sacks works with Kohler at the WasteLAB, which accelerates waste reduction efforts by taking landfill-bound materials left over from the manufacturing process and converting them into functional products of style and beauty, such as recycled faucets and tiles [7]
