Antri is a small village of 829 hectares in Kumbhalgarh Tehsil in Rajsamand district, known for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Antri depends on RAJSAMAND, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Antri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Antri's pin code is 313325[4], and village code is 03009900. The area of Antri is segregated as 21.1 hectares irrigated area, 80 hectares unirrigated, the 387 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 307.07 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Antri has One post office (Antri B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Antri has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Antri is a census village in the district of Rajsamand, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1677 and has total administration over 354 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Antri has 285 children, 131 boys and 154 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 99 (5.90%) males constitute 51 (3.04%) of the population and females 48 (2.86%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 995 (59.33%) males constitute 490 (29.22%) of the population and females 505 (30.11%).

According to a census 2011 report, 875 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 465 male, 410 female with 729 (83.31%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 427 males and 302 females. 269 males and 92 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 64 male and 194 female agricultural labor. 146 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Rajsamand to sell wood furniture and make their living.
