Asanda is a small village of 1390 hectares in Jodhpur Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Asanda depends on Pipar City, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Asanda is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Asanda's pin code is 342027[4], and village code is 01946400. The area of Asanda is segregated as 398 hectares irrigated area, 758 hectares unirrigated, the 47 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 187 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Asanda is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1079 and has total administration over 169 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

The workforce is 250 male, 244 female with 366 (74.09%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 193 males and 173 females. 165 males and 158 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 8 male and 9 female agricultural labor. 128 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pipar City and Jodhpur to sell ghee and make their living.
