Aviv Zohar is an Israeli computer scientist. He is a computer science professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem as well as Chief Scientist at QEDit.[1]. Zohar's most notable contributions are to the field of cryptocurrencies, for example the GHOST protocol[2], a variant of which is used by Ethereum[3]

In 2013, Aviv was named by IEEE Intelligent Systems magazine as one of "AI's 10 to Watch"[4], and by TheMarker as one of Israel's most promising young people[5].
