BSCS or BCompSc is an abbreviation for Bachelor of Computer Science, which is also known as Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (abbreviated BCompSc or BCS or BSCS or B.Sc. CS) is a sort of bachelor's degree in computer science that is conferred following college study in this field. Generally speaking, computer science degree programmes place a strong emphasis on the mathematical and theoretical underpinnings of computers.

Computation, automation, and information are all investigated in computer science. Besides theoretical subjects (such as algorithms, theory of computing, and information theory), computer science also include practical fields (such as software engineering) (including the design and implementation of hardware and software). It is widely agreed that computer science is a branch of academic study separate from computer programming.
