Bagida is a small village of 1755 hectares in Sapotra Tehsil in Karauli district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bagida depends on GANGAPUR CITY, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 25.98% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and One spring. Bagida is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Bagida's pin code is 322218[4], and village code is 01250200. The area of Bagida is segregated as 829.12 hectares irrigated area, 415.4 hectares unirrigated, the 384.67 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 125.38 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Bagida has One post office (Bagida B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Bagida has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Bagida is a census village in the district of Karauli, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2317 and has total administration over 464 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Bagida has 358 children, 197 boys and 161 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 532 (22.96%) males constitute 293 (12.65%) of the population and females 239 (10.32%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 138 (5.96%) males constitute 72 (3.11%) of the population and females 66 (2.85%).

The workforce is 623 male, 358 female with 968 (98.67%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 615 males and 353 females. 557 males and 321 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 4 male and 3 female agricultural labor. 13 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of GANGAPUR CITY and Karauli to sell earthen pot and make their living.
