Bakaner is a small village of 313 hectares in Kushalgarh Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bakaner depends on Kushalgarh, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Bakaner is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Bakaner's pin code is 327801[4], and village code is 03498200. The area of Bakaner is segregated as 54.16 hectares irrigated area, 215.45 hectares unirrigated, the 13.06 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 30.53 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Bakaner has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Bakaner is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2118 and has total administration over 422 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Bakaner has 447 children, 223 boys and 224 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 169 (7.98%) males constitute 81 (3.82%) of the population and females 88 (4.15%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1948 (91.97%) males constitute 982 (46.36%) of the population and females 966 (45.61%).

The workforce is 541 male, 540 female with 758 (70.12%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 408 males and 350 females. 374 males and 318 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 10 male and 9 female agricultural labor. 323 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kushalgarh and Banswara to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
