Balda is a small village of 938 hectares in Kishanganj Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Balda depends on Baran, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Balda is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Balda's pin code is 325224[4], and village code is 03934300. The area of Balda is segregated as 157 hectares irrigated area, 134.01 hectares unirrigated, the 388.03 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 58.02 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Balda has One post office (Balda B.O) and One public telephone. Balda has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Balda is a census village in the district of Baran, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1545 and has total administration over 331 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
- Balda has 259 children, 132 boys and 127 girls.
- Scheduled caste counts for 600 (38.83%) males constitute 312 (20.19%) of the population and females 288 (18.64%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 785 (50.81%) males constitute 391 (25.31%) of the population and females 394 (25.50%).

According to a census 2011 report, 820 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 414 male, 406 female with 322 (39.27%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 302 males and 20 females. 143 males and 5 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 142 male and 11 female agricultural labor. 498 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Baran to sell ghee and make their living.
