Balota is a small village of 1347 hectares in Dungarpur Tehsil in Dungarpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Balota depends on Dungarpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Balota is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Balota's pin code is 314037[4], and village code is 03316500. The area of Balota is segregated as 16 hectares irrigated area, 181 hectares unirrigated, the 87 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 601 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Balota has One post office (Balota B.O) and Two public telephones. Balota has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Balota is a census village in the district of Dungarpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3190 and has total administration over 651 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Balota has 631 children, 329 boys and 302 girls.
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 3179 (99.66%) males constitute 1574 (49.34%) of the population and females 1605 (50.31%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Dungarpur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
