Balwan is a small village of 2057 hectares in Indragarh Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Balwan depends on INDRAGARH, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 8.09% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Balwan is also surrounded by Two lakes. They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of INDRAGARH and Bundi to sell ghee and make their living.
