Banseli is a small village of 505 hectares in Ajmer Tehsil in Ajmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Banseli depends on Pushkar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 200.01% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Banseli is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Banseli's pin code is 305022[4], and village code is 02505400. The area of Banseli is segregated as 264.21 hectares irrigated area, 99.34 hectares unirrigated, the 53.11 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 36.22 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Banseli has One post office (Tilora B.O) and Eight public telephones. Banseli has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Banseli is a census village in the district of Ajmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3375 and has total administration over 716 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Banseli has 481 children, 247 boys and 234 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 728 (21.57%) males constitute 395 (11.70%) of the population and females 333 (9.87%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 28 (0.83%) males constitute 16 (0.47%) of the population and females 12 (0.36%).

The workforce is 951 male, 131 female with 1067 (98.61%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 941 males and 126 females. 387 males and 11 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 336 male and 93 female agricultural labor. 15 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pushkar and Ajmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
