Bar is a small village of 2442 hectares in Raipur Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bar depends on Jaitaran, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 487.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Bar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Bar's pin code is 306105[4], and village code is 02404100. The area of Bar is segregated as 487 hectares irrigated area, the 820 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 953 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Bar has One post office (Bar S.O) and Two Hundred Seventy public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Bar has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with One recreational center.

Bar is a census village in the district of Pali, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 6777 and has total administration over 1386 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 1347 (19.88%) males constitute 704 (10.39%) of the population and females 643 (9.49%).

According to a census 2011 report, 2550 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1646 male, 904 female with 1633 (64.04%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1411 males and 222 females. 114 males and 12 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 134 male and 90 female agricultural labor. 917 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaitaran and Pali to sell earthen pot and make their living.
