Barbela is a small village of 403 hectares in Jhalrapatan Tehsil in Jhalawar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Barbela depends on Jhalrapatan, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 33.46% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Barbela is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Barbela's pin code is 326021[4], and village code is 04008400. The area of Barbela is segregated as 116.03 hectares irrigated area, 107.29 hectares unirrigated, the 74.51 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 18.4 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Barbela is a census village in the district of Jhalawar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 526 and has total administration over 127 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 32 (6.08%) males constitute 20 (3.80%) of the population and females 12 (2.28%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jhalrapatan and Jhalawar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
