Barda is a small village of 311 hectares in Nimbahera Tehsil in Chittorgarh district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Barda depends on Nimbahera, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 97.02% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Barda is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Barda's pin code is 312601[4], and village code is 03673800. The area of Barda is segregated as 146.42 hectares irrigated area, 91.65 hectares unirrigated, the 51.93 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 20.74 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Barda has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Barda is a census village in the district of Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2295 and has total administration over 473 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Barda has 318 children, 180 boys and 138 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 994 (43.31%) males constitute 483 (21.05%) of the population and females 511 (22.27%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 167 (7.28%) males constitute 74 (3.22%) of the population and females 93 (4.05%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Nimbahera and Chittorgarh to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
