Bardod is a small village of 2114 hectares in Ramgarh Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bardod depends on BEHROR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 1497.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Bardod is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Bardod's pin code is 301604[4], and village code is 00767000. The area of Bardod is segregated as 1497 hectares irrigated area, 313 hectares unirrigated, the 21 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 189 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Bardod has One post office (Govind Garh Alwar S.O) and One Hundred Eighty public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Bardod has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Bardod is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 16434 and has total administration over 2844 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Bardod has 2257 children, 1227 boys and 1030 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 1928 (11.73%) males constitute 1033 (6.29%) of the population and females 895 (5.45%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 481 (2.93%) males constitute 252 (1.53%) of the population and females 229 (1.39%).

The workforce is 4209 male, 2472 female with 4798 (71.82%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 3621 males and 1177 females. 1496 males and 756 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 130 male and 73 female agricultural labor. 1883 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BEHROR and Alwar to sell wood furniture and make their living.
