Baroni is a small village of 1223 hectares in Tonk Tehsil in Tonk district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Baroni depends on Niwai, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Baroni is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Baroni's pin code is 304021[4], and village code is 02633300. The area of Baroni is segregated as 109 hectares irrigated area, 829.1 hectares unirrigated, the 201 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 84.2 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Baroni has One post office (Baroni B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Baroni has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Baroni is a census village in the district of Tonk, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1695 and has total administration over 327 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Baroni has 237 children, 123 boys and 114 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 592 (34.93%) males constitute 290 (17.11%) of the population and females 302 (17.82%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 69 (4.07%) males constitute 28 (1.65%) of the population and females 41 (2.42%).

The workforce is 407 male, 410 female with 722 (88.37%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 371 males and 351 females. 146 males and 245 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 24 male and 63 female agricultural labor. 95 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Niwai and Tonk to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
