Baroo is a small village of 14966 hectares in Phalodi Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Baroo depends on Phalodi, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Baroo is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Baroo's pin code is 342301[4], and village code is 01908200. The area of Baroo is segregated as 7216.08 hectares unirrigated, the 4727.13 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 3023.19 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Baroo is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3782 and has total administration over 593 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

The workforce is 893 male, 438 female with 704 (52.89%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 601 males and 103 females. 374 males and 84 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 48 male and 8 female agricultural labor. 627 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Phalodi and Jodhpur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
